Ticket sales begin for annual JLSN raffle

Darien, CT (September 26, 2016): The Junior League of Stamford-Norwalk, Inc. (JLSN) is selling tickets for its annual raffle. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by cash or check through League members or by emailing fundraising@jlsn.org.

Prizes include:

$100 to Mobil

$100 to Dunkin’ Donuts

$100 to Whole Foods

$200 to Williams- Sonoma (can also be used at Pottery Barn & West Elm)

$250 to Target

$250 to American Express

$500 to Amazon.com

$500 to American Airlines

The raffle drawing will be December 13 at 8 p.m. at the Darien Historical Society. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win.

Money raised from the raffle will benefit a variety of community projects.

JLSN president, Stephanie O’Brien explains, “Funding for the Junior League of Stamford Norwalk’s training and community initiatives relies heavily on donations and fundraisers, like our Fall Raffle. The Fall Raffle is a great opportunity for the community to support JLSN’s efforts to improve school readiness and literacy among elementary school children in our area.”

JLSN community initiatives are done in conjunction with local schools, food banks, emergency shelters, Malta House and Person-to-Person. The League’s Signature Project, Read 2 Succeed focuses on early childhood literacy and school readiness.
