The Junior League of Stamford-Norwalk is Recruiting!

Darien, CT (August 29, 2016): Are you looking for a way to meet new people while volunteering in your community? Twice each year, the Junior League of Stamford-Norwalk, Inc. (JLSN) invites local women to join an internationally recognized organization dedicated to improving communities through the leadership of trained volunteers.

“We represent an area where many people are newcomers, moving to Stamford for work or relocating to our towns to raise their families,” JLSN President Stephanie O’Brien Putnam said. “When you join the Junior League, you’re meeting volunteer-minded women who are all looking for ways to better their community.”

Women interested in learning more about the Junior League can attend our New Member Recruitment Social on Wednesday, August 31 from 6:30-8 PM at the Barrel House (249 Main Street, Stamford), complete a New Member Form at jlsn.org/volunteer, or contact membership@jlsn.org.

JLSN’s new members participate in a Provisional Training Course that serves as an introduction to JLSN. During this time, new members experience the League through meetings, trainings, social activities, and volunteer opportunities. The Fall Provisional Training Course will meet from 7—8:30 PM at the Junior League’s Darien office, on the following evenings: September 14, October 4, October 19, November 2, and November 16.

All women over the age of 21 within our service area are eligible to join JLSN and no sponsorship is required.
