The Little Black Dress Initiative

The Little Black Dress Initiative is Coming to Stamford-Norwalk

Monday, March 4 – Friday, March 8, 2019

Founded in 2014 by the Junior League of London, #TheLBDI is a week-long social media-driven awareness campaign that uses the iconic LBD to raise awareness about poverty and its effects on women in society. Participants wear one black dress (or outfit) for five consecutive workdays and are encouraged to harness the power of their social media platforms to drive online donations, which are collected through a local charitable fundraising site, TheImpactVine.com.

The funds raised make possible the work and mission of the Junior League: promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community.

To learn more about this year’s campaign, follow us on Facebook and Instagram.

We hope you will join us by taking part in one (or more!) of the opportunities below:

  • Wear the Dress. Sign up here to raise awareness and wear one black dress (or outfit) for five days during LBDI week in March
  • Support those wearing the dress by giving to #TheLBDI on TheImpactVine.com
