Junior League of Stamford-Norwalk (“JLSN” jlsn.org), headquartered in Darien, CT, seeks a Part-Time Operations Manager to provide support in a fast-paced environment with women community leaders of all ages across eight towns in Fairfield County.

JOB DESCRIPTION: OPERATIONS MANAGER

Part time: Exempt

GENERAL SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES: Help ensure the effective administration of the Junior League of Stamford-Norwalk (JLSN) by overseeing the operations of the headquarters including the building and grounds and keeping informed of JLSN activities in order to serve as an excellent resource for the organization.

SPECIFIC (including but not limited to the following):

Office Management: Maintain a minimum of 10 weekly office hours in the headquarters; perform general office administrative tasks including use of telephone and digital systems; manage the flow of USPS and electronic mail and assist JLSN members in their various volunteer responsibilities. Maintain good digital and paper records of League activities for present and future use
Meetings & Committees: Prepare and help distribute resources for general membership meetings (GMM), generally assist in meeting organization and presentation and aid in the work and activities of JLSN volunteers, as needed. Help with organization of meetings in headquarters and elsewhere.
General Communications: Produce electronic newsletters and a hard copy edition from time-to-time; utilize social media systems for internal and external communications; update and produce annually the JLSN Membership Directory; generate letters and other correspondence.
Membership Records: Maintain current membership contact information, JLSN membership status information and process and communicate changes on a timely basis.
Fundraising: Process and maintain records of donors and potential donors; assist in the Annual Fund appeals and other fundraising efforts; and generate acknowledgement letters to donors.
Website Management: Maintain the Digital Cheetah website and fully utilize all of its capabilities, including maintaining an online calendar of activities, events, use of headquarters spaces and membership and committee records and other pertinent information.
Facilities Management: Oversee the maintenance of the building and grounds of the office location, the office equipment and supplies to ensure that they are in good working condition, and in suitable supply for the smooth operation of the office at all times.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES: Excellent organizational skills; strong communication skills; command of Microsoft Office package, and Adobe InDesign or similar; prior office systems or management experience; proven track record; non-profit experience, a plus; BA or equivalent.
