Have you recently moved to Stamford, Norwalk, Darien, New Canaan, Westport, Weston, Wilton or Ridgefield? Interested in transferring your Junior League membership from your former League to JLSN? The Junior League has a long history in our area for training volunteers, developing women, and improving the community.
In order to transfer your membership you must contact your current League and ask them to transfer your membership to JLSN via the AJLI (Association of Junior Leagues International) e-Transfer system.
Please provide them with the following information:
• Name, local address and phone number
• Email address
• AJLI number
• Your current status (i.e. Active, Provisional, Sustainer)
PLEASE NOTE: We cannot initiate a transfer without a local address and your AJLI number. Transfer requests are processed through the AJLI online system. You will receive an email confirmation from AJLI that your transfer has been processed. Once your transfer is either initiated or approved by the transferring League, JLSN will contact you about payment of the $50 transfer fee and any required dues before you become a member of JLSN. You are welcome to attend JLSN meetings and events in the meantime.
Provisional Transfers:
Provisionals transferring into JLSN prior to completion of the Provisional Course in their original League shall:
- Pay the transfer fee of $50
- Pay JLSN dues of $99 if transferring between June 1st and November 30th or $50 if transferring after December 1st, (if AJLI dues for the year were not paid at previous League, additional $35 will be due)
- Pay the $50 Provisional Course fee
- Complete the Provisional Course and requirements after the transfer process has been completed.
Active Transfers:
Actives transferring into JLSN shall:
- Pay the transfer fee of $50
- Pay JLSN dues of $99 if transferring between June 1st and November 30th or $50 if transferring after December 1st, (if AJLI dues for the year were not paid at previous League, additional $35 will be due)
- Purchase 10 Winterfair tickets if transferring between June 1st and the beginning of the event
- Complete one credit for each month of the League year that she will be a JLSN Active.
- Select a placement within three months of her transfer under the guidance of the Nominating/Placement Committee.
Sustainer Transfers:
Sustainers transferring into JLSN shall:
- Pay the transfer fee of $50
- Pay dues in full if transferring in between June 1st and November 30th and 50% prorated if transferring in after December 1st (if AJLI dues for the year were not paid at previous League, additional $35 will be due)
- Dues for Sustainers under 65 years of age are $78
- Dues for Sustainers between 65 and 79 years of age are $31
- Sustainers over age 80 are granted Emeritus status and are not required to pay dues in gratitude for their lifelong dedication
Sustainers have no meeting or placement requirements, but can participate in many fun programs, events and activities. Once your transfer is complete, we will forward your information to the Sustainer Director so that someone may contact you.
